<strong>Corporate Tax Manager</strong> <p><strong>Location:</strong> Harrogate<br /><strong>Salary:</strong> £50,000-£65,000 + Benefits</p> <p>An established and growing independent accountancy practice in North Yorkshire is looking to appoint an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join its expanding tax team.</p> <p>This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious tax professional who enjoys working closely with owner-managed businesses and corporate clients, delivering both compliance and advisory services within a supportive and collaborative environment.</p> <strong>The Role</strong> <p>Reporting to the Tax Partner, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients while supporting the delivery of a broad range of tax planning and advisory projects.</p> <p><strong>Key responsibilities include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients across a variety of sectors.</li><li>Reviewing corporation tax computations and returns.</li><li>Providing practical tax advice to owner-managed businesses and corporate clients.</li><li>Supporting tax planning projects, including restructures, group reorganisations, acquisitions and disposals where appropriate.</li><li>Acting as the main point of contact for clients, building strong long-term relationships.</li><li>Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients.</li><li>Managing deadlines and ensuring compliance work is delivered efficiently.</li><li>Mentoring and reviewing the work of junior members of the tax team.</li><li>Working closely with partners and other departments to deliver a joined-up service to clients.</li></ul> <strong>About You</strong> <p>The successful candidate is likely to have:</p> <ul> <li>ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience).</li><li>Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment.</li><li>Strong corporate tax compliance experience with exposure to advisory work.</li><li>Excellent communication and client relationship skills.</li><li>Experience reviewing the work of junior staff.</li><li>The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.</li></ul> <strong>What's on Offer</strong> <ul> <li>Salary of £50,000-£65,000 depending on experience.</li><li>Generous holiday allowance.</li><li>Pension scheme.</li><li>Ongoing professional development and training.</li><li>Genuine opportunities for career progression.</li><li>Supportive and collaborative working environment.</li><li>Exposure to a varied client base and interesting advisory work.</li></ul> <p>This opportunity would suit an experienced Corporate Tax Assistant Manager looking to step up, or an existing Corporate Tax Manager seeking a new challenge within a well-established independent practice that offers long-term career development and an excellent working culture.</p>
