I have had two bad experiences with the security guard. Today I broke an oregano pot, cleaned the glass and then was looking for a staff member to tell to which he came over and was rude, implying that it was intentional. And recently my friend was being followed home by two guys and came in to ask for help and he told him that they’re harmless and dismissed him.

The assistant was annoyed at having to enter the prices of reduced to clear items manually (this is the case at all Sainsbury's). With the last item he didn't even bother to change it to the correct price so it went through as full price, causing even more hassle. Not a good experience.

Absolutely shocking behaviour from staff members and the security guard who enjoy playing around with their perceived sense of authority. I am a disabled person who was doing my shopping peacefully with my immaculately behaved assistant dog in training. I was confronted by a manager, when I explained my situation he apologised and left me alone. I was then confronted by the security guard, I explained that I had spoken with his manager, he checked, then later came back and apologised to me. I told him that I would be coming in regularly with my AD. A week later I was in again, and another member of staff shouted at me across the room, glaring at me while stating that they don't allow dogs! I said 'assistant dog' hoping he would get the picture. He continued to harrass me, and demanded that I show documentation as I went to the self-checkout to scan my item. I looked to the security guard in hope that he would explain my situation to them, however, he totally stonewalled me. When I went up to him to ask for the staff members name he gaslit me by saying I shouldn't have reacted. I am a local who has been a regular at this store for over two years now, but I will never ever go back, not only to this sainsburies, but to any sainsburies, and I will be sure to tell my friends about the type of attitude I have encountered there. I have taken my AD into numerous stores including Morrisons on Headrow, Leeds, and Asda at Kirkstall, and we received a warm welcome from staff members and customers. I was sad to see that this was not the case in my local sainsburies store. You say you are all about diversity, and equal rights, but I see no evidence of that. You have lost a valued customer. I suggest you provide the proper disability training to your staff members, and understand that confronting people with disabilities can be extremely detrimental to their wellbeing.

Always come to sainsburys rather than go to a bigger supermarket. I have to say the security guard Cyrus is amazing, so helpful, always happy and I've never to see him not help anyone! An asset to your store.. as are all the colleagues always happy to come and assist and help anyway possible.. you really are an amazing team there.. thank you x

Used this Sainsburys for over a year now and getting someone to actually serve you is a mission and a half. No one ever man's the tills or seems interested in serving you. Staff seemed annoyed that have to engage with you. Also its extremely expensive compared to other Sainsbury. Seem to go to the effort if employing security guards 24 /7 but don't move on beggars who are constantly heckling you as you walk in.
