Had the 3 tomb raider games I wanted which was a delight because the cex at halifax didn't. Also the customer service was great and they did age check me for the games which is good
Have had to bring a fair few online orders back here (not their fault as bought online through the wider company of CEX). The staff have always been really helpful and processed everything without fuss. Even if there's no fault you have 14 days if you don't like it. So we now see it as a low risk way to get a good deal without the usual used goods gamble.
I bought a reconditioned mobile today. The manager and all the staff were extremely helpful. Their attention to detail and their customer service was second to none. I highly recommend CEX Huddersfield.
Sent my sister by uber specifically to get a Samsung S22 I saw online, B class so thought it would have some quality. Got to the store and it was near closing and the phone wasn't charged up so it wasn't feasible to try it out. Also was told once she got there that the screen was damaged slightly but we thought it would be fine wouldn't affect phone function (though why it was B class when it had cosmetic damage, idk) The guy was also gone for a while grabbing the phone even though the store is small, retrospectively he was probabaly trying and failing to turn it on. Anyways she got home and is trying to start it up and it's refusing, it's just cycling through the start up process with the different languages, shutting off, starting up again, over and over and over, vibrating and nothing is working. We've charged it, we've tried putting the sim in, nothing is working. It's now sat in the bag and it's still turning itself on and off. B class for a phone that won't even turn on is a joke. Anyways she'll be returning it tomorrow morning but it's still annoying that you're selling products that aren't even functioning. Okay edit, sister took it back and whichever lady was on the tills was so lovely, so amazing and understanding, they had a nice little chat too and she made sure to charge the phone my sister wanted instead and check that it actually would turn on before she let my sister purchase it. Really appreciated that. So I upped it to 3 stars from 1. But you really shouldn't sell customers phones that won't even start up right or not check it actually works before selling it.
Really unhelpful, blunt and rude will avoid this place like the plague from now on. Bought a phone online from CEX upon receiving it and setting it up I realised it was stuck on old software and wouldn't update. I tried via HiSuite to no avail so took it back to the shop to refund. They initially refused to refund as apparently software not updating isn't classed as a fault. Looking online it absolutely is classed as a fault as it causes the pogne to crash, not download certain apps and at the time the keyboard was too low down on the screen meaning the space bar wouldn't tap. Eventually after arguing with them they agreed to refund. Made my experience extremely difficult and uncomfortable
