Medium size lidl with all the usual stuff - fresh fruit and veg, bakery, meat, middle aisle. Unusually for a Lidl, there were a lot of self checkouts which made shopping quick and easy. You get better prices if you have the lidl plus app. It's quite busy, especially after school.
Just witnessed 2 staff members be absolutely awful to a customer This isn’t the first time .. the lady with the frizzy hair & the lady with the black straight hair yelling at a Nigerian man who felt embarrassed & shy didn’t say a word .. some of them are sooo rude I usually go in after work the boys that work there are always pleasant.. I’m still in shock the way they spoke to him & think something should be done as this isn’t the first time.. I work on Beverley Road my self in customer service we believe the customer should be valued & respected, they spoke to him so badly!
Good enough shop but till situation is questionable at times. Went in today and no tills open. 6/12 self checkouts were open meaning half them were barricaded away. No tills meant it was incredibly busy with trolly shoppers using self checkouts. And if you try and move the barricade or ask for it to be moved you get spoken down to by staff. Not a convenient shop to use if you want to do shopping quickly and don’t want to stand around queuing for ages
The new store layout and tills are an improvement, easy to get around the store and find what you need. Same great prices and products. The bakery selection is decent and all very tasty, the fresh bread is just like from a bakery, the blueberry muffins are banging and I will buy them again soon. Lots of free parking and conveniently located.
Easy, accessible and affordable for large shopping, bulk shopping and just on the go shopping. Neat and tidy environment.. New products available now.
