A look at the history of White Cross, Crakehall, with Dr Emma Wells

The White Cross in Crakehall, a Grade II listed stone monument of unknown origin, is believed to have served as a medieval market marker, a site for plague-era trade, a boundary for cattle sales, or simply a wayside cross, reflecting North Yorkshire’s rich historical tapestry.
