Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is out soon. The film had its world premiere at the 76th Cannes Film Festival on 18th May 2023, and is scheduled to be released in the UK on 28th June, then globally on 30th June 2023.

You can visit the site of the train scene filmed in Yorkshire by travelling to the North York Moors, and by booking your very own trip on the North York Moors Railway.

Footage from the filming show Nazi insignia was added to the historic steam engines and images from the film show Indiana on board.

Famous on Film

The North York Moors Railway has also been used for filming on other well-known shows such as Heartbeat and as Hogsmeade Station in Harry Potter. Pickering Station, featured in the latest “Dad’s Army” film (2016), starring Bill Nighy and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Harrison Ford returns to the role of the legendary hero archaeologist for this fifth instalment of the iconic franchise. Starring along with Ford are Phoebe Waller-Bridge (“Fleabag”), Antonio Banderas (“Pain and Glory”), John Rhys-Davies (“Raiders of the Lost Ark”), Shaunette Renee Wilson (“Black Panther”), Thomas Kretschmann (“Das Boot”), Toby Jones (“Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom”), Boyd Holbrook (“Logan”), Oliver Richters (“Black Widow”), Ethann Isidore (“Mortel”) and Mads Mikkelsen (“Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore”). Directed by James Mangold (“Le Mans ’66,” “Logan”), the film is produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall and Simon Emanuel, with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas serving as executive producers. John Williams, who has scored each Indy adventure since the original “Raiders of the Lost Ark” in 1981, is once again composing the score.
