This is our third year staying here. The rooms are comfortable and spacious for us as two adults and two children. Both beds are luxurious and the super king in the master bedroom is perfect. The master suite, kitchen and sitting room are all accessible.

Stayed here for a week with my wife, son, dog, and mother in law lovely little cottage in walking distance to town and mother Shiptons cave and a lovely river side walk. The owners are a lovely couple and are always there If you need any help or advice, we needed a toilet surround and shower seat for my disabled mother in law and they had both. Will definitely be going back as it's also got off street parking, so it's nice and secure.

We had a lovely holiday in Knaresborough staying in Dray Cottage. Our hosts Richard and Jackie made us most welcome and couldn't have been more helpful. The accommodation was spacious and well furnished. Everything had been thought of and we were pleased to have some control over the central heating to warm us on the cool evenings. The property was ideally situated very close to the town centre and the lovely riverside with its cafes and boats. We very much enjoyed walking round the parks, gardens and historic streets. Trips to Harrogate (by train), Bolton Abbey, Brimham Rocks and the Himalayan Garden & Sculpture Park took us through some stunning countryside. Thank you Richard and Jackie, we really enjoyed ourselves!

We stayed as a group of nine for one week at Dray & Shire Cottages for a second time in August / September 2023. Richard and Jackie are excellent hosts and did everything the could to make us welcome. The apartments themselves are fantastic - beautifully furnished, cosy and comfortable, all bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and the kitchens are a great size, with all equipment to cook and dine, even for a large group like ours. There is plenty of space for everyone, and lots of comfortable retreats on sofas! The proximity to Knaresborough town centre, riverside as well as public transport is a further bonus, and car parking is available directly in front of the apartments, for easy unloading of luggage and shopping. I very much expect to be back sometime sooner rather than later, and can recommend the Stables without hesitation!

The accommodation and location are excellent and you couldn't ask for nicer and more welcoming hosts than Jackie and Richard. On more than one occasion I accidentally left my washing in the machine located in the outside utility, only to find it hanging up to dry on my return. All part of the service! (Although telling me the washing fairies had visited was a stretch too far!)
