Fab Pies. I'll elaborate. The pies the mash and the gravy were fab. My wife had the vegetable version and the mustard mash. Also rather good indeed. The welcome was warm. I was warned there would be a 40-45 minute delay. It didn't matter. It was a nice place to sit and have a half. And it didn't take 45 minutes. It's funny how this place is a local for some and a destination for others. You're lucky if it's your local.

Received a lovely warm welcome when we arrived at the pub by the staff. We all ordered a Sunday roast which was plentiful, good quality and tasted delicious. Good range of beers available. Thoroughly recommended 👌

I went for an afternoon meal here on the 24th October, ordered the Chicken Parmo for me and my wife, it arrived in a reasonable time and was absolutely delicious. The Groves claims it is a North East delicacy; but it is actually originally a Middlesbrough one, but has now spread far and wide 😊 Living there I have eaten a Parmo in many different places and this stands comparison with the best. Combined with the reasonable Lager prices and really pleasant staff, it was an enjoyable meal and we will return.

Popped in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and had the bangers and mash. Lovely hearty tasty food on offer here. Proper Yorkshire serving. Never had it with crispy onions but, I loved it. Staff were polite, friendly and professional. As it should be! I will return and definitely recommend.

Was late out so tried to find somewhere quickly. Happy we picked here, it was great. Really good Sunday lunch, everything good quality and well cooked (nothing over-cooked) and very reasonably priced.
