i just love CeX, so much variety especially this one. i came in on my visit to leeds and was left satisfied. good prices and games, dvds could be a bit more better and cheaper though, not the £1 ones, the feature films. the conjuring for 4 quid? nah. other than that, great shop! ***extra points for selling the getaway
I heard great things about this place a lot but so far. It just wasn't the case for me. The very first game i bought from there was corrupted. Wanna guess what happened to the next one? Also corrupted. I guess the double was just rotten luck but having to go back 2 times was definitely not a good experience. It doesnt matter that I can get a replacement if I have to go all the way back there with the risk that I get another corrupted copy. There's absolutely no reason that they can't check these disks right before putting it in your cd case Not the greatest experience so far. Staff was really good but it just hasn't been worth it for me
Weren't transparent about what is acceptable for them to accept a trade in of a console. Got my hopes up by quoting me quite a high price when I initially brought it in and when I came back after they tested it they wouldn't accept it due to cables being missing. Not a great experience. I'll stick to selling on eBay.
I made a visit to this store this week and found that the GameCube cases had been put behind the counter, it was a small selection though (maybe they didn’t want to make room out on the shop floor). The shelves were full but it seemed as if nothing had been put in to alphabetical order like every other CEX store have their stock presented. I liked that the shop had an alternate door to go through which made it easier to access the shop without steps.
Not as good as it used to be. As a collector of movies this place has gone downhill big time, so many blurays with reprinted covers for almost new price, a joke. And why the hell does this place attract people that dont know how to wash, the place reeked.
