Another of those shops where you really need to go to but hate because there doesn't seem to be anyone over 20 working in them. Anyway, popped in because I wanted some of their jumpers. Couldn't see them at all so asked a Shelf Fluffer(shelf fluffers are people who try to look busy whilst fluffing up shelves and trying to avoid hunan contact) where are the Georgio jumpers, Shelf Fluffer A didn't know so shouted to Shelf Fluffer B, who then said if we have any they'll be in the sale section here, cue me having to look though all sales items to no avail. Anyway I didn't give up and eventually found a whole rail of jumpers in plain site higher up. I called over to Shelf Fluffer B who was still pretending to work that if in future anyone else asks her for jumpers, that they were in this section. Anyway after going through York Maze to find where to queue for the till is, Shelf Fluffer A said the two jumpers I'd picked were not in the 2 for £25 deal, after I internally screamed for 3 seconds, she then realised that both jumpers did indeed have 2 for £25 tags on. Shelf Fluffer A called for help at the tills, a few minutes later, Shelf Fluffers rushed to the till to help. No not really haha, don't be daft, eventually Shelf Fluffer C did come over to deal with an exchange, whilst the queue grew. On my way out i did noticed more Shelf Fluffers hiding in the wild like backwards raptors hiding from the hunt. Finally I made it out the store alive. A word of advice Sports Direct bigwigs, employ people who not only have knowledge of what you sell but actually show a little bit of interest in their job. For example when I go to Asda and I cant find a product, I ask one of their Shelf Fluffers and I guarantee they will say "yes of course, follow me", Supermarket Fluffers know where their products are.

Terrible attitude. The only thing staff member did was to rush over and put the shoes back. He didn't even ask if we needed any help.all he said was can I put the shoes back. The one rating is for the shop being open. Please replace these kind of people with robots.

rude staff member. Was looking around for someone to help for a bit and the guy looking after shoe section was busy with someone else. Saw who looked to be a manager on the door and started walking towards him. He then seems to mutter something to himself in annoyance that i’m walking over. He radios someone to come to the shoe section and then just shouts across at me telling me to “go wait over there.” Looked like he was manning the door and appreciated he wasn’t looking after the shoe section but his attitude was appalling. Someone else came to help who was already busy with 2 other people.

Appalling service from the management down to the checkouts. After returning an item I was given an expensive credit receipt (refunds not issued). It was hastily given to me with 3 other receipts so 4 in total and not highlighted as the important one. I believe I kept everything but somehow the 1 important receipt of 4 went missing. The staff should have highlighted what was important instead of quickly moving me on. The management were not interested even though I’m a repeat customer having spent around £150 on this visit alone. Not recommended.

I tried to exchange two T shirts {a xmas gift}for a different size, 10 days after christmas. Unfortunately the purchaser, my mother-in -law ,died of a stroke on New Years Eve after a large bleed on the brain. Therefore, I was unable to provide a receipt to the shop. I did not think this would be a problem as I only wanted to exchange, did not want a refund, and any store hearing my predicament would surely have the compassion and empathy to assist me. This was not the case, I spoke to the manager {Mike} and he totally rejected my case, telling me to complain online. The staff were totally unhelpful. I complained online, 15 times and every time received a reply from a different adviser. The first 12 times , I dont think my e-mail was read, as the replies did not reference any of my complaint. It seemed that a standard Template reply was sent. I still have not resolved this issue and would ask all potential customers to boycott the store until Sports Direct change their policy.
