Haven House Bed & Breakfast

I am just posting this review which is the same as the one I have sent to the proprietor in order to support this venture which is clearly the product of a lot of hard work and I believe its success is an important part of maintaining a strong rural community. This will be the third time I have stayed at Haven House. I have always found the proprietor to be very friendly and helpful. The rooms are well appointed and clean. I don't consider myself to be a fussy eater so I am always happy with cereal and an English breakfast from the breakfast menu, but there are more options available. It is very well located with the market square on one side and vies of Wensleydale including Pen hill on the other.

Edited - Beautiful views, nice room, would stay again but would have been nice to see a host, as we had an issue while we were there but there was no one around, however there was a number to call or text. On arrival we had to let ourselves in and find our rooms. Thoughtful touches like a heater in the wardrobe and water and milk in the fridge. Good quality coffee and biscuits. Little car park at the back will be a little tricky if you have a big car.

Stayed 3 nights for our annual get together (3 couples). Rooms were a good size, well furnished, and bed very comfortable. Hosts were lovely, breakfasts superb, and great location for a few days walking in Wensleydale. We really enjoyed our stay - now planning a return trip!

Gorgeous B&B with really lovely hosts, friendly with a great sense of humour! Everywhere was spotless, we had two rooms both were absolutely stunning but our bathroom with the bath - just wow. You can see how much care and effort is put into this place, all the little touches with the decor, and extras in the room you are really spoilt. Breakfast was delicious and enjoyed with a beautiful view from the dining room! Couldn't recommend this place enough, we would definitely stay again, thank you for having us.

Travelling is difficult for us with a small nervous dog and us being vegan. We have to settle for a lot of terrible food and no choices. The chef made us off menu food which was absolutely delicious and we had a lovely vegan cooked breakfast in the morning. Our room was lovely and clean and the whole hotel decorated really modern. The owners were super friendly and they had two gorgeous dogs who we were able to fuss! Beautiful views a few minutes walk away and gorgeous boutique gift shops, and authentic pubs right outside the door.
