Vexmantra: Ep Release Show

Vexmantra are an instrumental progressive rock trio from Southampton. Formed in early 2023, their music is a curious mix of in-your-face heavy rock and trippy epics, intertwined with introspective and thoughtful passages you'll probably lose yourself in. But no matter, you'll soon be back in the room when a crushing riff slaps you across the back of the head! Vexmantra's songs tell stories of life's journey using music, sound, and video, a powerful and multi-dimensional experience that crosses genres. After three years of being an exclusively live band, this show is to celebrate their first official studio release!   Joining Vexmantra are two outstanding bands who are making their Southampton debuts:   Houdini's Hand are a new instrumental stoner rock trio from Southampton. Incorporating elements of doom and prog, the band's music is a multi-layered experience: they pull you into a labyrinth of sonic entanglement and may lead you into state of fugue. But you won't be there for long, because their massive riffs will bring you crashing back into reality!   Mountainscape are an instrumental post-metal trio from Reading, and their name describes their sound perfectly. An orogenesis of post-rock, doom/sludge, and ambience, culminating in a volcanic sound that explodes through the earth's crust! With numerous shows across the country and the release of their critically acclaimed album Iridescent in 2024, Mountainscape are demonstrating what post-metal is all about: pushing boundaries and breaking conventions! This show marks their very first Southampton appearance and should not be missed!
