Laughternoon Tea (in aid of Breast Cancer Now)

Every August, fundraisers host Afternoon Tea events to raise money for Breast Cancer Now, funding life-saving science and life-changing support.  We're hosting an afternoon tea with a twist - grab a tasty homemade treat, sit back, and enjoy an afternoon of cracking comedy! With Jay Lafferty, Chris Thorburn, Kim Blythe, Jay Lynch and Justina Seselskaite. -- Hello! I'm Kathleen, a comedian from Glasgow. In April 2026, I was diagnosed with HER2+ breast cancer. Historically, this would be considered an aggressive cancer with a higher risk of growth and spread. However, thanks to research carried out within the last few decades, my prognosis has improved dramatically, and I can access targeted therapies which mean that my cancer can be cured. Although treatment has been difficult both physically and psychologically, I will be able to live well again because of research funded through events like this one. I've personally benefitted from Breast Cancer Now's helpline and Someone Like Me services, helping me to navigate my diagnosis and providing reassurance and support. I'd love to raise funds to support Breast Cancer Now's mission to ensure that everyone diagnosed with breast cancer lives, and lives well. So, I'm doing what I know how to do best - putting on a gig with the help of friends from the comedy scene. It will be a lot of fun, so I hope to see you there! x
