Category 8.1 Ethernet cable commonly referred to as Cat8 is a cable standard for 25/40 Gigabit Ethernet. The cable standard provides performance of up to 2000MHz and is suitable for 10BASE-T 100BASE-TX (Fast Ethernet) 1000BASE-T / 1000BASE-TX (Gigabit Ethernet) 10GBASE-T (10 Gigabit Ethernet) 25GBASE-T (25 Gigabit Ethernet) & 40GBASE-T (40 Gigabit Ethernet).
