SkyBlueRed studio is the brainchild of three community artists from the North East of England, namely Miki Rogers, Beth Sigsworth and not forgetting Helen Wright (we always keep the best till last!)

As a group we wanted to provide a real community arts venue. A wonderful and unique place to meet and make, with handblended teas, farm-sourced coffee and vintage china, take and make kits and activities to do as you drink, including fabulous pottery painting which we will fire for you in our very own on-site kiln. Somewhere you can find the best of local and national British art and craft. A place to have a party, take up a creative workshop, or even use for your event…

Of course it’s not enough just to provide a venue, we wanted to shake things up a bit too and make a change. So we’ll be working with local community groups, and will start with the talented artists from Upsall Hall Rural Centre. The artists who attend the centre who are all adults with learning difficulties will be working with us on creative enterprise projects and work experience; and they are also expertly crafting our delicious cakes … We are honoured to have the opportunity to work with them and their creativity holds no bounds! As we go along we hope to work with members from every sector of the community. Everyone is welcome!
