Compared to other supermarkets (remember it is just a supermarket so the 5 stars is based on this and it not the fact it is some fantastic family fun day out) it's great. Decent amount of space between the isles, decent quality products generally. Well kept, clean and not untidy. Checkout staff are always wonderfully friendly and seem genuinely pleased to be doing their job. Always greeted with a smile and no desire to push you to the self checkout if you choose to use the normal checkout but equally as attentive if you do nip through the self checkout. Decent reductions on close date food to reduce waste and no judgement if you fill your trolley with reductions, often quite the opposite. Maybe doesn't have the product range of some of the larger supermarkets but you won't starve and will throw together a decent, tasty, nutritious meal from their offering. Only criticism I have is depending on time there can be large delivery trucks reversing through the carpark where pedestrians and vehicles are. Not ideal but separating deliveries would eat up half the carpark which when it's busy would be bad. They could do with a system just to ensure pedestrians are restricted from the area whilst trucks are manoeuvring as I'd hate to see anyone injured.
A typical new Aldi store. Bright and airy with plenty of room and well stocked shelves. All my regular items are available and the staff are great. The carpark is well laid out with accessible parking and parents spaces near the store doors. You can charge your EV while you shop too. The store is clean ( it's new!) and is kept tidy. It can get busy but if your shopping trip times are flexible you can avoid crowds and it's almost a joy!
I am a member of a Gentlemens group and had arranged a canal/river cruise. We required some refreshments, I and a couple of members popped into Aldi Mirfield. Whilst perusing the wine isle, a member of staff, Philip, asked if we required assistance. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The group thoroughly enjoyed the selection. We will definitely return.
Great Products and prices not too bad.
Lovely new Shop, very clean and organised. Staff inside Shop very helpful and patient. Toilet has nappy change facilities, but no bins, so had to carry around soiled nappy through Shop. Should be an easy fix though. Staff at till, very rude. I was friendly and chatty and I barely got a hello back. Was complimenting the store and got no recstion. Checkout girl was chatting away on her headset talking about her birthday plans with whomever was on the line. Left a really bad impression with me and ruined the nice shopping experience. A thank you or goodbye would have been nice considering I sent over 200 quid and was just ignored. It was 11am, and not busy either. This person needs reminding that kindness costs nothing.
