Visited the store on the 14/10/2024 at 7.24 am to find it opened at 7:30 am which was fair enough, usually have a pleasant experience shopping here as a ethnic minority as the staff are usually friendly. Today I never felt so humiliated by all the team working. There was at least 7 members of staff that all appeared to be hiding from the fact they opened at 7:30 am and I had been waiting outside in the cold for it to open. Luckily I was in my car and so could have a perfect view of the doors and was eagerly anticipating the store opening to purchase some coffee and get back on the school run. To my surprise the store did not open at 07:30 am, and another customer was waiting too and got fed up and drove off angry and looking at me as puzzled as I was as there was staff hanging around at at around )7:20 am but yet there was no one to be seen at 07:30 am. I had to walk and look down the isles through the windows for the staff and knock on the window. \At least 7 members of staff all turned around to see what the knock was and saw it was me, they then gave me dirty looks all of them as they looked at their watches. By the looks faces, they looked annoyed at something. I think the manager was have a meeting with them in the isle as they all looked upset. Then a lady in a green hoody, gave me a right dirty look as she and I think the lady who was the manager realised they need to open the store. A tall lady dressed in black came and opened the door giving me a smirk on the face as if I have an attitude problem. I proceeded to enter the store and went to look for the coffee isle but struggled as there was boxes everywhere on the floor in in trolleys. I asked the lady who appeared to be the manager, how come their late opening, she laughed and said we open at 07:30 am. I then said it's 07:30 am, and she then shrugged her shoulders and made a huffing sound and disappeared into the store room. I asked another assistance if he could show me where the coffee is and he was kind enough to show me but also had an attitude when I asked him why is it so late opening when there's 8 members of staff on. He also smirked and shrugged his shoulders as he served me saying we open at 07:30am, again stating what I already know, instead of someone just apologising for the delay as they appeared to be moving everything around, I was met with attitude. Never will I visit this store again at this time. My time is just as important as anyone else and you don't expect to be ganged upon going into but coffee just because your there at at 07:30 at it's the store opening times. Sainsburys are a community business and serve the public and should do this with pride and respect for all people and open on time. I am traumatised, disappointed and shocked at the attitude of the entire team working, half with no uniform on, to be honest as they are usually friendly.
Friendly staff , items are 25p-£2 more expensive than online which is to be expected. I like the long opening hours and the fact they you can cash in lottery tickets, also has ATM outside. Breads, chocolates, alcohol, soda, cakes, crisps, veggies, yoghurt, cheese, fresh meat and even Asian sauces or noodles.
I visited the store yesterday. I asked the two attendants behind the counter if they had red lintils. One of those attendants, lady who appeared to be in charge, responded "a bit up market for up here love". First of all it was disappointing what I was looking for was not in store but, more imortant, the insult that I should be living in an area of such low Importance. I would appreciate a response from Sainsbury's.
❗️Best out the lot as they respect their customers and allow them to bring their bikes with them into the store plus all security guards at all Sainsbury’s are friendly and good people❗️
Really handy and friendly little store. A lot of litter on the pavement outside, which is not their responsibility directly, but I'm sure Arkwright would have had Granville out there with his dustpan and brush before you could say "Gladys Emmanuel".
