Welcome to Yorkshire
Published on December 10th, 2025
•Ever wondered what might happen if Thor, Loki, and the rest of the Norse gods settled their legendary squabbles in a wrestling ring? Someone has finally decided to find out. Mythos: Ragnarök – the wild, genre-smashing fusion of Norse myth, theatre, and full-scale professional wrestling – is heading out on a huge UK tour for 2026, and Yorkshire audiences are in for an absolute treat. After earning cult status and four sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, this acclaimed production is bringing its thunderous spectacle to the county with two major Yorkshire dates.
With its mix of storytelling, intense physicality and jaw-dropping combat, Mythos: Ragnarök is the kind of show that pulls you straight into its world of gods, monsters, and high-stakes destiny… then suplexes you for good measure.

What Actually Is Mythos: Ragnarök?
Imagine a full-scale theatrical production – rich narrative, powerful characters, dramatic stakes. Then imagine a professional wrestling show – athletic stunts, roaring crowds, big moments. Now smash them together. That’s Mythos: Ragnarök.
The show retells the chaos leading up to Ragnarök, the Norse doomsday, where gods like Thor, Loki and Odin fight for the fate of the realms. It’s part epic play, part physical storytelling, all powered by real wrestlers performing full-contact action live on stage. Think Shakespearean drama meets Pay-Per-View energy.
It’s the only production of its kind in the world, and it’s attracted audiences from theatre lovers to wrestling fans to anyone who enjoys a good saga told with serious flair.
The Gods Stepping Into The Ring
Every performer in Mythos: Ragnarök is a seasoned professional wrestler, which means every slam, strike, and clash is performed with absolute precision. Creator Ed Gamester plays Loki himself, alongside an impressive cast including:
- Howard Drake as Odin
- James Dunn as Thor
- Heidi Katrina as Freyja
- Louise Young as Gullveig
- Fin McCarthy as Borr and Fenrir
- Beau Charles as Baldr
- Sam Gardiner as Surtr and Jormungandr
- Daisy Jenkins as Hel
It’s a lineup that brings real wrestling pedigree to a mythic story.
A Fringe Sensation Heading Nationwide
Created in 2021, the show quickly became a word-of-mouth hit, climbing the ranks at the Edinburgh Fringe to become one of its standout cult successes. After global attention and years of development, it now embarks on a major UK tour.
As creator Ed Gamester says:
“Amazingly, this fusion of theatre with wrestling has never been done before. It's unique, it’s groundbreaking, but most of all it’s fun! Nobody gives you a headline slot at Edinburgh Fringe: we earned our way up that ladder because thousands of people enjoy our show so much that they keep coming back.”
