Easter Buddies Trail 2025: A Hoppy Adventure at the Tropical Butterfly House

Welcome to Yorkshire

Published on March 19th, 2025

Looking for a fun-filled Easter outing the whole family can enjoy? The Tropical Butterfly House Wildlife Conservation Park near Sheffield has you covered with their egg-stra special Easter Buddies Trail running throughout the school holidays from Friday 29th March to Easter Monday 21st April 2025.

Follow the Easter Buddies Trail

Kids and adults alike can get into the Easter spirit by hunting down the friendly ‘Easter Buddies’ characters hidden around the park. If you spot them all, there’s a sweet treat waiting for you at the end! And that’s just the beginning of the fun.

Meet the Easter Bunny & join the Golden Hunt

If you’re visiting over the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend (Friday 18th April to Monday 21st April), you’re in for a real treat. The Easter Bunny will be hopping around to say hello, and there’s an exciting hunt for special golden eggs and golden bunnies. Grab one of these prizes, and you might just go home with something awesome!

Cuddle real-life Easter bunnies

What’s Easter without bunnies, right? At the animal-handling sessions, you’ll get the chance to meet real, super-cute Easter bunnies. Plus, the park’s daily keeper talks and animal encounters are a must-see. Whether you’re into meerkats, porcupines, or adorable guinea pigs, there’s something for everyone.

Get creative & win prizes

Fancy yourself a bit of an artist? There’s an Easter-themed arts, crafts, and colouring competition happening throughout the event. And if you show up in your best bunny ears or Easter outfit, you could even win a spot prize!

Animal antics & farmyard fun

The Animal Antics show is a definite highlight, but don’t forget to grab an animal feed bundle so you can feed the friendly residents of the farm barn, the guinea pig village, and even the meerkats and porcupines. It’s the perfect way to make some new furry friends.

Explore & play like never before

The fun doesn’t stop there. Explore the Dino Trail, snap a selfie inside a giant dinosaur egg, or jump on the free tractor-trailer ride to see the park’s beautiful grounds. For the little ones, there are outdoor playparks, a splash zone, sand pits, and even picnic spots for a family feast.

Delicious Easter treats

Feeling peckish? Stop by Lottie’s Coffee Lounge or the Butterfly Café for kid-friendly Easter picnic boxes and delicious Easter-themed drinks for adults. Just a heads up—café opening days and times can vary, so plan accordingly.

More than just Easter fun

The Tropical Butterfly House is more than a fun day out—it’s a place dedicated to conservation. They manage over 46.5 acres of land across Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire, and Derbyshire to protect native wildlife, including one of the largest populations of tree sparrows in the UK. And with over 450 bird boxes, the park is also home to red deer, barn owls, grass snakes, and loads of native butterflies.

They’re serious about making a difference, and a percentage of your admission goes directly towards these conservation efforts. It’s not just a great day out—it’s a good cause, too.
