Welcome to Yorkshire
Inspiration • November 27th, 2025
|Get ready for some massive news for your summer plans. If you’re a fan of huge pop anthems and voices that can fill a stadium, then the Yorkshire coast is the place to be next year. The global superstar Anastacia is set to headline a massive show at the TK Maxx presents Scarborough Open Air Theatre. And as if that wasn't exciting enough, she’s bringing the incredible Heather Small along as a very special guest. This is shaping up to be one of the most memorable nights of music for the summer.
Imagine it now: a beautiful summer evening on Sunday, 21st June 2026, at a historic seaside venue, with two of the most powerful and acclaimed voices in music taking to the stage. This isn't just another concert; it's a double-bill of pure vocal power. Tickets for this unmissable show go on sale this Friday at 10am, so it’s probably a good idea to set a reminder.

An American icon with a voice of gold
Let's talk about Anastacia. She’s an absolute force of nature. From the moment she burst onto the music scene back in 1999, it was clear she was something special. Within just two years, she was named the “World’s Best-Selling New Female Pop Artist”. That’s a pretty big deal. Her unique and powerful voice has sold more than 30 million records around the globe. That's a lot of albums!
Think about her biggest hits – tunes like ‘I’m Outta Love’ and ‘Left Outside Alone’ were everywhere, and they still sound brilliant today. She's not just a recording artist; she's a true global superstar who has won over 225 awards in 31 different countries and topped the charts in 19 of them. This American icon has a massive fanbase all over the world, and her dedication is clear from her constant touring across Europe, Asia, and Australia.
Her current 'Not That Kind' tour has been a massive success, selling out venues across Europe in countries like Spain, Italy, Austria, and Germany. The UK leg of the tour was also a smash hit, and now she’s extending the dates into summer 2026, which is fantastic news for everyone heading to the Yorkshire coast for this incredible show. This headline performance is set to be a real highlight of the summer music calendar.
A special guest with an iconic sound
Every great headline act needs an amazing warm-up, and for this show, the term special guest almost doesn't do it justice. The one and only Heather Small will be joining Anastacia on stage. As the iconic voice of M People, Heather Small is a British music legend. Songs like ‘Moving On Up’ and ‘Search for the Hero’ are anthems that an entire generation grew up with. M People’s unique sound earned them multiple BRIT Awards and the Mercury Music Prize.
But her success didn't stop there. As a solo artist, Heather’s song ‘Proud’ became a global phenomenon. It’s a track that’s all about empowerment and has been the soundtrack to some huge cultural moments, from London’s successful 2012 Olympic bid to the England Lionesses' celebrations. Her incredible voice is as powerful as ever, inspiring people across generations. She's a regular on her Facebook and Instagram pages, connecting with fans worldwide.
What makes this even cooler is that this Scarborough show will be a reunion. The two vocal powerhouses last shared a stage back in 2010 on the acclaimed ‘Here Come The Girls’ arena tour alongside Lulu. Their chemistry was amazing then, and it's bound to be electric when they reunite for this special outdoor music event.
A massive summer of music at Scarborough
This gig is part of an absolutely massive summer line-up at the Scarborough Open Air Theatre. The venue is bringing some of the biggest names in music to the coast. It’s not just one or two big shows; it’s a whole season of top-tier entertainment presented by TK Maxx.
Julian Murray, from the promoters Cuffe and Taylor, couldn't be more excited. He said:
“We are so excited to welcome not one, but two globally, acclaimed vocal megastars to Scarborough OAT on the same night next year! Anastacia's power and energy are really something else and we can’t wait for her to bring her stunning stage show to the Yorkshire coast. And what a way to start the night with the British music icon Heather Small. This will be some night!"
