The New Inn selby is a traditional Victorian pub with an interior listed by Camra as of national importance. Remodelled in 1934 by a 24 year old architect john poulson. The front smoke room has wood panelling and a bow-windowed counter screen with a sash serving hatch. The stained glass leaded windows have a sporting theme. There is a good range of beers, lager and cider, including handpulled cask conditioned real ale. The staff are friendly and welcoming, there is an outside seating area and the pub is dog friendly. Only a handful of pubs have survived unaltered. This is an absolute jem. A visit is highly recommended.

Lovely pub, best in Selby perhaps. Hard to attract service but the ambiance more than makes up for it. Fully recommended.

Great bar with lovely staff, very friendly with a resident DJ that plays lots of 80’s and 90’s music great to dance along to on the dance floor or get up and sing along on the karaoke.

Popped in for a drink while out and about shopping, this was my first visit to the new inn . We will definitely call again next time we are visiting Selby.
