HSBC Selby

My elderly mum was having issues with online banking and we were struggling to sort things out online. Thank goodness that HSBC still have some branches open - all the ones near my mum around Leeds have closed down, so I brought her to the one in Selby (where I live). It was so nice being able to actually talk to someone face to face. The staff on the counter were very helpful and empathised with our situation. We didn't have an appointment, but Stephen came to see us in a private side room and basically sorted everything out for us between his other appointments. We will be forever grateful for the help and advice - if it wasn't for them, I swear we'd still be having issues!!!

Excellent customer service. Arrived 15 minutes before closing time, someone else was being served then was my turn, Jane didn't rush her part and no one else has either, ended up keeping everyone for an extra 10/15 minutes after closing time and received nothing but excellent service throughout. Also worth mentioning that this has always been the case since I started banking with HSBC, the service in Selby branch has been excellent every time, so very rare these days, so feel obliged to point it out when it happens. Yes the opening hours are inconvenient but that's HSBC HQ and nothing to do with the staff at the branch, they went above and beyond every time I was there. Thank you all.

I was having issues with my bank account, not being able to access it or buy anything using my debit card. After receiving no real assistance via telephone banking, I was required to go into the Selby branch to actually talk to someone. Both Kelsey and Steve were very supportive, informative and patient with me due to the situation I was in explaining to me that my account was blocked. Although this wasnt resolved straight away, they went above and beyond to chase the relevant teams, identify what was happening, get me some form of access to my account so I could access my money and contacted me directly with any updates. I really appreciate the effort and dedication as I felt like I wasn't being left to deal with things on my own.
