From Caroline coming out, to the property completing the sale. Everything went so smoothly and quick with regular updates, the neighbors were shocked how quickly the sale progressed. Can’t thank Caroline, Trinity and all the team enough. Also the charges are really good compared to other agents in the area. I would recommend this friendly team. Thank you WH Brown Selby.

Poor service from start to finish. Regretted signing the contract pretty much straight away. Took two weeks to even get a photographer out, who told us when he arrived that he had only been contacted 2 days before coming! The advert was poor with incorrect description and floor plan. I had to send it back several times before it was published. Whilst we had viewings, some were completely pointless, tyre kickers. They priced the house higher and told us it was a 1% fixed fee. This meant that it was 1% of the initial valuation and not of the final sale price which we hadn’t expected, as sold for 9k less than asking. They seem to have a high turnover of staff, and are unreliable. The communication was poor, they didn’t follow up on leads, were not proactive, hardly ever answered the phone, and didn’t seem interested whether the house sold or not. The sale fell through twice and I asked if they could make it clear it was back on the market due to it falling though and was told no. They only promoted it on their social media when I actually asked them. When I complained I was promised that communication would improve. It didn’t and the excuse we were given after complaining again was that the contract states they will give weekly updates (at most) so when I emailed and they didn’t respond, despite the urgency because the 1st in the chain were threatening to pull out because of the time it was taking, they didn’t contractually need to reply for a week! Joke. Once we sold for the third time, we ended up speaking directly with our buyer as there was no liaison between the agent and her or us. If we hadn’t have done that I’m pretty sure we still wouldn’t have completed! On one occasion I emailed asking for the agent to liaise with the 1st in the chain due to the risk of the chain collapsing. They rang our buyer (not what we asked) who didn’t answer, and then emailed me back saying they had left her a message… never heard from them again after that! Conversely the agent who we bought our new house off was the complete opposite, proactive, always available even at evenings and weekends, and we completed on the purchase in 40 days start to finish. WH BROWN had nothing to do with this, they didn’t even know we had agreed a completion date until we told them as they just didn’t keep in contact with anyone. Sale of our house took over 4 months, which would have taken much longer had it not been for us, our buyer, the other agents involved and the solicitors. They essentially got paid to advertise our house on Rightmove and book in viewings (which we hosted) Money for old rope and we have learned a valuable lesson. Never use WH Brown and go with an agent who actually cares about selling your house and will go the extra mile to get it over the line. We submitted a further complaint on completion and were offered £150 ‘goodwill’ gesture’ for the poor communication but WH Brown took no responsibility for anything else, their job was simply to secure us a buyer and in their opinion they did that. All the other stuff wasn’t their problem. They caused us so much extra stress

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Every time we called we were always greeted professionally and all our queries answered. We sold our home through this company and would definitely recommend. Sarah who is the mortgage advisor in branch is amazing! She was honest throughout the whole process and we built good trust. Sarah made you feel that she was interested rather than just there to do a job. Thank you guys! The Coopers.

Avoid at all costs, they didn't manage my sale properly found at at week 12 my buyer couldn't proceed. Was lied to about my buyer the second time, told they had a cash investor and could move in 6 weeks. Took 10 weeks it was a first time buyer with mortgage, now refusing to pay good will gesture of 600, 3 weeks late at time of counting, loads of excuses despite being told they would reduce their fee. Horrible experience.
