USA SHOPPERS BEWARE OF UNMENTIONED TARIFFS!!! So, I ordered two Barbour jackets and a can of wax thinking I was getting a good price... until I got the tariff bill from DHL. I was charged $116 dollars in tariffs and that's in addition to the shipping I paid. If you are buying from there and think the item is on sale- think again. Read the fine print... "Terms & Conditions of International Orders Michael Stewart Menswear Ltd has no control over import duties, VAT, or customs charges. Exact charges vary by country and are set by your government, not by us. DHL’s systems will estimate these fees at checkout, but the final amount is confirmed by customs. The amount you pay to Michael Stewart Ltd at checkout is only for the item(s) and shipping. Important: The customer is fully responsible for any parcels returned due to unpaid customs charges. If a parcel is returned, we will deduct postal fees, return shipping costs, customs charges, and handling fees from any refund. Placing an order with us means you accept these terms." In hindsight, I should have ordered from Orvis and I would have actually saved money. I will not be ordering from them in the future.

Ordered a Barbour Beaufort jacket on Thursday, delivered to Sydney Australia on Tuesday. Significantly cheaper than the £299 price charged at Barbour. Couldn’t be happier with my experience and customer service received. A few reviews here seem to be referencing additional import duties which certainly was not the case for me due to the UK-Australia free trade agreement. Suggest people do their own research prior to purchasing, this is not the sellers responsibility and controlled by your government - do your own research instead of leaving unfair reviews for a company that I can only speak positive of. I would shop here again in a heart beat!

Awful service I’d never use again! Paid for Saturday delivery got a text from courier saying Monday so rang up the shop to ask they said yes definitely Saturday the lady said the courier had been early but they were using DHL to deliver mine waited in all day Saturday rang them again and they said yes it will be there. Nothing turned up! I was in all day waiting, I was then told on Monday morning that it was the couriers fault it definitely weren’t. Don’t use look elsewhere.

This shop sells high-quality products, which I can confirm after receiving my order, but the online system for EU customers leaves much to be desired. During the purchase process, it states that the estimated customs duties are €0, but once the transport company has completed the customs formalities, it tells you that you have to pay the duties. In my case, the costs increased the final price of my purchase by 50%. This is just a warning to EU buyers to bear this in mind. I believe that if this shop wants to live up to the quality of the products it sells, it needs to improve in this area.

Used the online store. Though it was a bit of a challenge getting the order correct (sizing on Barbour jacket) and some other issues. They did everything in their power to make it correct. They were kind and friendly even when I had to call. Even worked through some unseen expense in relation to shipment. I have nothing but good things to say. Often times it is not when things go good you get a review but when they go bad, that is when the quality of a company is shown. If that is the case then this one I would give 6 stars to. Keep up the fine work. Cheers!!!!
