Tourist questions: Getting to Sheffield for the snooker from East Midlands Airport

Hello,
We are visiting Sheffield for the Snooker World Championships in April. We are travelling from Jersey, preferably to East Midlands Airport. There used to be an excellent service from EMA to Sheffield with National Express. Is that now gone? If so, do you have any suggestions for convenient alternatives.

Answer:

East Midlands airport doesn't have a direct National Express service to Sheffield anymore and the nearest train station is 5 miles away (it is possible to get there by taxi). There are, however, a lot of car rental options, including Europcar:
