My husband took me to miller and carter for my birthday on the 14/11/25 Beautiful clean restaurant, our server Mario was absolutely incredible, very polite, friendly and very attentive, truly a lovely gentleman. The food was unbelievable, my husband had prawn cocktail, the salad was fresh and the prawns were big and also fresh he gave it a 10/10. I had the scallops and pork belly again absolutely delicious starter, cooked to perfection. For mains we both had wagu steak, with chunky chips, the standard sides plus lobster tails each. It was genuinely the best steak me and my husband have ever eaten and everything else was cooked to perfection aswell. Overall our experience was absolutely fantastic is every single way, 100% reccomened to anybody thinking of going. Thank you from The Wilkinsons.
Mike was our server and he was amazing! From the gorgeous cocktails to the perfectly cooked steaks, everything was perfect ! We got a steak and two drinks each and it was only £65 each. With your steak you get a side, a lettuce wedge, a grilled tomato and a crispy onion, we were so full at the end of the night but enjoyed everything
We visited here for our 5th anniversary. Mike was our server and he was incredible! A very friendly host, very chatty and bubbly and made the experience here better. He even organised a free dessert for us. Will definitely be coming back!
Update 06/11/25: Back for a birthday dirty burger. Just as good as I had remembered. The dripping dip is a fantastic addition to the burger and the chunky fries are a great choice. This time we had the pleasure of having Fin as our server, he really went the extra mile to make this visit even more special. Thank you Fin and we hope your mum has a great birthday. First visit: I would like to think that I have been to all the best burger restaurants in York. I found Miller & Carter and decided to give it a go. Just finished my dirty burger with chips, and it was delicious, it has made it to the top short list but something that sets this apart is the quality of the ingredients, so good. Will be coming back.
Lovely atmosphere and very chic, fairly fast service and attentive servers ladies, but... The Rump stake at 27£ was a FAIL. Very chewy and hard to cut. Safe to say i would not try stake here again.
