Retro Fun Comes to Life in York with The Actual Reality Arcade – Saturday 5th July

From 11am to 5pm, the street will be transformed into The Actual Reality Arcade – a wildly imaginative, hands-on experience where classic video games leap off the screen and into real life.

This unique attraction invites visitors to become the player inside seven larger-than-life game installations, including a full-scale Donkey Kong challenge, a high-energy Laser Run, and even a human-sized version of Whack-a-Mole. Whether you're a longtime gamer or just up for a fun day out, this immersive arcade experience promises laughs, action, and a big dose of retro charm.
