Ever Wanted to Sing in a Pub? Now’s Your Chance!

Let’s be honest—we all sing. In the shower, in the car, or maybe after a drink or two when no one’s listening. But what if you could belt out a classic pop-rock anthem with a group of total strangers, turn into a real-life choir, and sound amazing while doing it? That’s exactly what Crazy Little Sing Called Pub is all about!

And the best part? You can join in at City Screen Basement, York, on Friday 11th April at 7:30 PM. Just grab a ticket, grab a drink, and come sing your heart out!

What Is Crazy Little Sing Called Pub?

Picture this: a packed pub, a legendary song, and a bunch of people who may or may not know what they’re doing. Now, add the guidance of Abi Moore, a singing expert who will (im)politely coax, cajole, and possibly drag your voice out of you—whether you think you can sing or not.

No auditions. No experience needed. Just show up, open your mouth, and be part of something incredible. By the end of the night, you’ll be harmonizing like a pro, and the whole thing will be filmed live so you can prove to your friends it actually happened.

Why Should You Go?

  • It’s ridiculously fun. You’ll laugh, you’ll sing, and you’ll meet people who are all in the same boat.
  • You don’t need talent—just enthusiasm. Whether your voice is high, low, or somewhere in between, it’s welcome.
  • It’s a one-of-a-kind experience. Where else can you drink and sing in harmony with a crowd of strangers?
  • It’s taking over the UK! What started as a Nottingham event is now making waves across the country, with gigs in Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham, and even this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

The Story Behind the Project

Abi Moore, the brains behind Crazy Little Sing Called Pub, started this project to prove that anyone can sing—and that singing together is pure magic.

The movement really took off when Tim Booth, lead singer of James, shared a video of a Nottingham crowd singing Sit Down in perfect harmony. With over 32,000 views, it showed just how powerful these pop-up choirs can be.

Now, the event regularly attracts up to 275 strangers every month, raising thousands for charity and spreading the joy of communal singing far and wide.
