Store smelt like a sewer. Management obstructing aisles and a broken shelf bent into the walkway which I have caught my pushchair on twice because they always leave rollers opposite it making it difficult to get strong the corner. Pastries were raw and barely cooked.
Very rude service around 10.35 AM on Wed 24 Sep 2025. The pastry I was buying returned an error message when I placed it in the bagging area, because it wasn't on the list for purchase. I tried to explain why the error had occured but the staff member would not listen, rushed me out of the way and tried to sort the issue themselves. Sure enough, they couldn't find it either. They made me feel like I had done something stupid when in fact it was the machine that was in the wrong. Felt very frustrated at the whole situation afterwards. I hope this feedback of listening to and having patience with customers is passed on to all staff. Many thanks.
I'ma little bit tipsy, got a brie, bacon & chilli chutney sandwich, 8 budweisers and 10 cigerellos + a lighter, what lovely service deffo call here again
Won't let you take empty Costa cups ,even when you spend £20. The staff member put the cup back, even though I'd had my fingers inside the cup. Disgusting!! Beware!!
Excellent customer service by the manager and the team. I lost my phone in York station and it was handed into Sainsbury’s- the female manager and the staff kept the phone charged to allow me to ring and find it. What a team- a credit to Sainsbury’s and the people of york! Thank you so much.👍
