Great open space to walk the dogs and the river for them to take a dip on warm days. Follow the public footpath under the A64 and carry on to see Bishopthorpe palace..... very impressive. Watch out for the boats when letting the dogs take a swim

Nice wide-open fields along the River Ouse accessed from Naburn Lane. Great place to walk and exercise your dog and kids. However they are overgrown this summer whilst normally cut regularly. So you need to watch out for obstructions on the paths and for any animals. We spotted a young deer on our walk and of necessity kept our girl on a lead. Generally a pleasant area to wander by the Riverside and to have a look at Bishopthorpe Palace. Also you would need to consider that several stretches of the River are owned by York Angling Association and as such Fishermen could be enjoying their sport in the area.
