This is a stunning little gallery right outside of Bootham Bar and easily missed if you don't keep your eyes peeled. A family-owned gallery, it has seen two generations of devoted ownership, lovingly and enthusiastically supplying a beautiful kaleidoscope of colour and styles. I have had the pleasure of visiting and speaking to both past and present owners, and if there was ever a small independent gallery I would gladly visit time and again, it would be this one. With a number of different artists and styles to appeal to most desires, you also have beautiful jewelry made from authentic crystals and minerals from a brand who pride themselves on caring for the medium they work with. It is so worth a visit... and if you happen to catch the owner on shift, don't be shy, have a chat. They know a lot about the art on sale, and also the local area! You'll leave feeling you were part of the family.

Beautiful gallery with all types of art on sale. You can buy originals and prints with prices to suit all pockets. I have bought from here and the quality is good.

What a wonderful little gallery - it is one of my happy places. And it's nice to have interesting/interested conversation with the chap behind the 'counter' (it is often the lack of gentle conversation that deters me from returning to a place). The prices are very reasonable, too. I love, love, love, it. The current exhibition, Aspects of York, brings our beautiful city alive - the instantly-recognisable streets are presented to us in so many different and interesting ways. I look forward to their next offering.

Saw a painting by Colin Cook in the window whilst on a weekend break to York. Returned home and phoned them to purchase. Very professional, lovely little gallery that packaged the painting perfectly and sent by courier. Arrived today.

Small but beautiful gallery. Prints by the gallery artist are beautiful and reasonably priced. Across the street nearby (on Bootham) is a plaque commemorating the birthplace of W.H. Auden.
