4/5 for practically refusing to provide 3rd chair at a “two person seating” table with three people including one child present and free chairs clearly available. Otherwise excellent, thank you
Possible the best pie I have ever had, however fir £22 I would expect some vegetables
We went to the Guy Faulks for dinner on our first night in York, I had the steak and ale pie and my wife had the haddock and chips, both were delicious and the service was excellent too. A great start to our short stay in York.
The blue plaque is placed in the windows, if you enter the pub there are a few spots on the walls with information about Guy Fawkes.
Great pub atmosphere. Great food - especially those damned pies. Great service. Bea looked after our table in lovely friendly manner. Even the local beers on tap were great. Well worth a visit. Recommend you book.
