This is an impressive memorial to the soldiers and sailors who died in the Boer War 1899 -1902 standing on a small corner of greenery near The York Minster
Small garden housing an impressive memorial to those who served in the Boer War. A good place to seek some shade from the trees on a hot summer day.
Beautiful park.
So gorgeous and relaxing
On the other side of the green space is a small open park, the Garden of Remembrance. The exquisite stone tablet inside commemorates the soldiers and sailors who died in the war, but not the generals and commanders - quite interesting.
