An open space at the top of the famous Shambles shopping street for music and street performers.
Lovely place before/ after the Shambles - one has the opportunity to sit down and "tank" energy when walking through the magnificent York. One could buy a drink or a snack to accelerate the blood flow in one's feet :) Regardless of the weather - sit down for a couple of minutes and mix in the York buzz.
Nice square but seriously lacking in seating
A great bustling square at the top of Shambles. Handy for lots of shopping from the Chocolate Story, to Barnitts, Tullivers, York Market just moments away in Newgate and much more. It draws in plenty of street performers and buskers who regularly attract big crowds.
Excellent performance Andy something. Fun, interesting and most importantly funny :)
