Light and shadow. Positive: The campsite is very pretty and well equipped. The staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Negative: The pitch we were allocated was very uneven; they could have made the effort to level it out. The showers were terrible. You should wipe them down after use to leave them “nice for the next guest.” Friends, if anything is “nice,” it's not an ancient push-button shower—no one has one of those at home, so why expect guests to put up with it? It's impossible to wash long hair under it; it takes three times as long and you freeze. On top of that, the cubicle was extremely small (and I'm a slim person). There was nowhere to put your things—in theory, there was a dirty folding stool, but unfortunately one can't squeeze in next to the unfolded stool. It's a shame, because with modern showers (that stay on?!) of a reasonable size, it would really be a great place!

Really impressed with campsite! Two night stop over on way to Scotland, very easy to access from main roads. Lady in reception very friendly & helpful, site very clean & well maintained, shower block very clean. Excellent location for York, had a great day at the outlet village & wandering around the city. 100% will return & recommend

This was our first time here, we’ve had a lovely break in our touring caravan. The park is lovely, great location and you feel like your right in the countryside. The holiday park is very clean and well looked after. The lady in reception was really lovely and helpful. We loved torty the 90 year old tortoise. We had a lovely walk into York centre from the park. We’ll definitely be back. I never tire of York. Thankyou Nurseries caravan park for a lovely stay.

Just had a few days away at this lovely little campsite in our campervan. Hidden away in a forest setup it has electric hook ups and a nice middle toilets block with showers and toilets with washing machines and dryers etc. Also has a games room which sadly not much in there works and remains unplugged. The WiFi is rubbish and we couldn't even receive it's signal. Hard standings are almost level. Very clean shower block. Taxis available at special price into York. If you want to catch the bus to York then bus stop is a bit of a walk across two big busy roads. The nearest pub is just over a mile walk away down a narrow road with mostly no path so beware of fast coming cars. The pub is really nice but the food wasn't nice and not cheap. See my other review at the Nags Head. Overall the campsite was okay but location wasn't best. You can hear the traffic most of the time.
