Unfortunately the first time I tried to visit the tower it was early evening and the fares were locked. I returned the following morning (10 ISH) and gained access. For something of such historical importance it was not well advertised. The area it was in was quiet and no other visitors were around. The area it's situated in is well kept and clean. For history buffs and anyone else interested in history it's a must. For others it's an old stone building 🤣

Small ruined tower situated at the foot of the defensive wall. Just beyond the tower there are three layers of banks, marking the levels of defences from the Roman to Norman periods. The Anglian Tower is free to visit as part of the Museum Gardens, and is one of a number of more impressive ruined buildings in the area.
