I booked the half day Alba package at Subrosa in early January 2026, just after the new spa reopened. The spa facilities are beautiful and clearly a lot of money has been invested, but unfortunately the service provided did not quite match up with expectations. I subsequently contacted the spa and outlined the issues we experienced. They have since contacted me to apologise and outlined what procedures they're putting in place to improve certain areas. I look forward to visiting again.
On Saturday evening we visited the Subrosa for my birthday and it was an incredible experience! The food was out of this world - I got the crispy chicken stir fry which was so full of flavour. The restaurant staff were nothing but kind and helpful whilst we were there - explaining the menu and checking in on us, they even added a happy birthday to my desert which was a lovely treat! We were greeted by Cameron in the spa who provided the best service, showing us around and helping with anything we needed. We were so relaxed and got to enjoy all the facilities. All of the staff helped make our trip even better and we’d love to come back!
Let me start by saying this was well worth it! I just did the short day with my husband. Raves: -provided a chamomile tea, a tote bag with a towel, robe and flip flops, and also a locker key and wristband -locker room had a bench, 3 showers, 1 toilet, 1 changing room, lockers, swimsuit drying machine and plastic bags, 2 hairdryers and 2 hair straighteners -jet pool lots of massage options -loungers in the pool room -eucalyptus steam room -lemongrass steam room -sauna -salt sauna -mild temperature herbal room -relaxation room with a fountain and reclined chairs We do have some critiques though for the spa staff: -pool jets would turn off for long period of times, the start buttons weren't very reactive, could be hotter, most of the sitting wall jets were very weak except for 2 that were insanely strong and painful, the laying down jets were very difficult to remain laying on because you kept getting pushed -steam rooms scents would hurt my eyes but my husband said it wasn't bad for him -locker room: 2/3 showers flooded, wish there were chairs for the hairdryer area
