Wow wow wow - the new spa is AMAZING (opened Dec 2025). Hydrotherapy pool, aromatherapy steam rooms, saunas galore, relaxation room with waterfall and electric chairs, foot spas and most importantly, fantastically caring staff. We had a fabulous aromatherapy massage too. Thank you to Emma Sorby and the team for making our stay perfect x
Came here for a spa day for my 35th birthday. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Spa pool was nice and relaxing along with comfortable relaxation room and other sauna rooms. We did have an issue with the buttons on the jets unfortunately as they seemed to take a while to turn on.
Really disappointed by this spa, and would certainly not return or recommend. A full day spa package was bought for me as a bday treat. Started off ok, facilities quite nice (locker broken), and treatment was pleasant. However, lunch was served frozen (part was inedible), couldn’t access the showers (there was a long queue, clearly not enough facilities for the number of people at the spa), and no toilet roll. My friend and I then sat for 40 minutes in the foyer waiting for our rasul treatment. Apparently they couldn’t get the previous occupants out?! We then left, as there was no certainty provided over when the room would become available. We got a small refund - prompted by our complaint at the time. I followed up with the spa in email to raise these points , as upon reflection it was a massively overpriced experience with countless flaws. Never received a response - not even an apology. Worst spa experience yet.
The Spa is located in the “vaults.” As a hotel guest you have to schedule a time with the front desk and bookings are made on the hour. Once you arrive you give your name and sign in, you are handed a towel and that’s it. No one tells you what is available or where anything is located. Once you go thru to get to the pool area the floor was very wet and I think they should do a better job at maintaining the floor. The whirlpool jets are in an automatic timer so the jets are on for 15 minutes then off for 15 minutes. You can’t control them. The water wasn’t hot enough and the chlorine was intense. We were able to find the steam room and dry sauna. It’s just very dangerous walking around. There is a water cooler and cups but the water is at room temperature and not cooled.
Booked for mine and my sister's birthday a half spa day with a half hour work it out massage. Not really the 5 star experience I was hoping for. The relaxation room lounger throws were dirty, you could feel the dirt on them and the room was full of dust - no attention to detail from the cleaners at all. On entrance to the treatment room, it was like an iceberg as the air con had been left on possibly overnight as I had the first treatment of the day so I was offered an extra blanket but it was still very cold. There was a sewage smell from the shower in the room and the treatment bed didn't feel clean like the ones in the relaxation room. The therapists phone went off which she excuses but I felt like there was a lot of faffing in and out of cupboards getting oils etc, didn't feel very organised but the massage itself was ok and I did feel relaxed eventually. The pool was lovely but not very clean, there was a black scum around the pool edge. The jacuzzi was nice, as was the steam room but the sauna felt far too hot, we wouldn't sit down at all which is very unusual. As for the showers, again no attention to detail with the cleaning, lots of hair in the drain, limescale build up and the hair dryer filters have never been cleaned. Overall not an awful experience but just not the 5 star treatment I was expecting.
