Went to a vegan Xmas market here with my wife was very good and my wife was very happy lol
We attended an ABBA dance class for my daughters hen do and had an amazing time. Steph our dance teacher was just amazing and there was a really helpful guy (sorry can't remember his name) but he comes from sthelens like us, was really kind and helpful. Thank you all for making wonderful memories for that day xx
Attended a vegan fair here recently. Loads of space for stalls, toilets are clean, but parking is impossible nearby. We had to pay £25!!! Shame on your York council!! This is obviously not the institutes fault, but there was road works right outside, so parking maybe better once finished
Large venue close to York Railway Station. I was visiting for the Vegan Festival. Cost a fiver to get in. Large venue with multiple stalls selling cosmetics, clothes, all sorts of food from cakes, bakes, drinks, streetfood, pies, vegan fish and chips, and more. Hats, jewellery, tshirts and coats, timed talks/presentations throughout the day. Lots of friendly and well informed stallholders from charities to vegan supplies. The two standouts for me were the lovely kind young chap, Graham, from Greenpeace - informative, experienced and very affable. And the chap from Ghana with a wonderful smile that lit the room - über knowledgeable indeed about all the products he was selling. I bought a couple of items off him, as he knew what he was talking about, a bloke with a lot of knowledge and helpfulness in equal measure. He also took the time he needed to explain and inform, without leaving you in the lurch to serve a customer. Honest, genial fellah. Learnt a lot today. The fair was worth attending and supporting. I would revisit.
It was very nice being for the first time last weekend doing watching some amazing Judo talent in the competition, and it looks like I will be here more times in the future for my Judo career. I'm happy to see some Judo fights again in a while and some amazing Ippon. It's such a nice place.
