Been a member for a few months now, was great before Xmas but feel like they taking on way to many members. Hardly any room in the gym and actually having to wait for equipment isn’t fun. I try to go around 2pm weekdays thinking it would be quiet but it’s always busy. Tempted to change gyms if it keeps staying this busy.
This place is great. So much to do. Our children have their swimming lessons here and after trying a few places out this is probably the best one so far. They are always on time to start lessons and the instructors are constantly watching and are thorough. You never feel there are too many kids in the swim class. There looks to be plenty of classes and the gym looks a decent size: yet to try. There are lovely little cafe area but the front desk for refreshments, pricing not too bad.
All of my stuff was taken from the locker this week. They might seem small, but valuable to me. I have been a member of York Sport Village since 2012, and it feels like part of my family. The facilities and staff have always been friendly, excellent, and I have never had any problems over the years. I always feel welcome and supported. I am especially looking forward to the new spa, which will be a fantastic addition.
Love the gym.Dont go as often as I want. Too busy but I think I will have more time soon being winter. Clean and tidy. Good staff. Wish they would mend velodrome.
