Can't beat an open top bus to see the sights. This was a good tour. Only lasts an hour and shows you anywhere worth seeing. No earphones needed as the speakers on the bus are plenty loud enough. Cost for the 2 of us was £26 and that was valid also for the following day. Obviously, you can hop on and off as you please. Good value for money

I had a great experience with the tour bus company in York and would definitely recommend it to visitors. One of the biggest positives was the affordable price, which made it a great option for families. The unlimited travel for the day was very convenient, allowing us to hop on and off at different stops without worrying about extra costs. I also appreciated the USB plugs on the seats, which were a useful feature for charging devices during the journey. However, there were a few areas that could be improved. When I traveled, the seats were quite dirty, which was a little disappointing. Another thing I noticed was that sometimes there was a live tour guide, while other times it was an automated system. While both provided interesting information, the inconsistency was a bit confusing. Additionally, some of the sights along the route were not explained in much detail, which would have made the tour even better. Overall, despite these minor issues, the experience was enjoyable, and I would still recommend this tour bus for anyone wanting an easy and budget-friendly way to explore York.

York is a wonderful city to visit. There is a hop in hop off bus tour very accessible from the railway station. The tour is interesting and full of historic information. There are several ancient gateways from which to enter the bustling streets which are brilliant for a stroll with fascinating shops and cafes for every taste. The buildings demonstrate a range of architectural eras The river flows steadily through the city with bridges to cross providing scenic views. The Minster is an oasis of calm and a unique example of medieval stained glass windows followed by an ice-cream in the surrounding park.

Absolute SCAM! I bought 48hour Family ticket before travelling to York and once there the bus never passed! Not even once! We waited and waited 45 minutes each day of stay but nohing. They state that they work 7 days a week during Christmas holidays well I don't know what they mean as the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of January did not run!!! try and call the number provided and they redirect you to the website, I wroe a complaint email to get a refund and (obviously) nobody answers! Now I understand what they mean when they say York is the city of the ghosts, this company is the perfect example of one!!!! EDIT: they answered below me that they will contact me to arange a refund and is RUBBISH! No one ever answered my emails!!!!

This was a great way to discover more about York. It is included on the York Pass, and you can get on and off as much as you want or stay on for about an hour to do the full tour. It has WiFi and USB charging sockets at your seat. The recorded tour was interesting, but it seemed to have not been updated to show the change of monarch.
