Really enjoyed walking the Medieval Walls with my family—great views of York Minster and not too tiring at all. It’s a nice way to see the city from a different angle and take in some history along the way. Peaceful, scenic, and definitely worth doing.

It was great to walk around the city of York, 2000 years of history in 2 miles! Be prepared for narrow walkways and to give way to people. They do offer some free advice of the buildings and there are also tours

These walls were amazing. We took a walk along these walls and the views were spectacular. The York Minister was visible in the background and it was such a great way to end our day. One thing I would be weary of is if you suffer from mobility issues I wouldn't recommend this. There are a lot of steps and sometimes steep ones.

Awesome medieval wall intertwined with an ancient Roman wall. The wall is not a complete circle as it is broken in part that walkers have to find their ways around. Not a big deal as it is simple. There are gates that one has to climb for the walls. But, it offers a nice break in the walk to take some really nice pictures.

First thing I did when I arrived to York I walked all around old city. Walk on walls was magical experience it's just a bit confusing that was a bit of break in between but google maps was very helpful. Lots of amazing pictures and felt like you walk trough time. I will definitely recommend to do this activity to everyone at beginning. Lots of historical things to see.
