Rooms at the Avondale are individually decorated and all are en suite. Guests arrive to fresh flowers in their room, as well as a well-stocked hospitality tray, complimentary toiletries and a TV.
There are 6 breakfast options including “American” and “Mediterranean”, and there is even the specialty whiskey porridge to try. Each is prepared using locally sourced produce and served in the dining room with its traditional feature fireplace.
York Railway Station and the National Railway Museum are a 20-minute walk away. A 10-minute stroll away guests will find the medieval walls, Rowntrees Park and York Castle Museum.
