The Leopold Hotel is only a few minutes’ walk from impressive Sheffield Cathedral. The Lyceum and Crucible Theaters are only a few hundred yards from the hotel.
With a flat-screen TV, safe and mini fridge, free Wi-Fi (256KB), each room also has elegant décor. Some rooms feature bathrobes, slippers and a Nespresso coffee machine. All rooms include a hairdryer.

Built on the former site of a Grade II listed Boys Grammar School, this historical property offers a quirky yet luxurious place to meet, situated centrally in Leopold Square offering an array of upmarket bars and eateries.
This imposing building has been sympathetically restored to retain its charming architectural character. Each of the hotel’s 90 en-suite bedrooms is uniquely furnished, offering every modern amenity necessary for the discerning traveller. We also are delighted to offer our ‘Lone Female Traveller Policy’ which ensures the safety and comfort of our female guests. Taking great care of the individual needs of our guests, our friendly staff are professional and efficient.
Fully licensed for weddings and ceremonies the hotel is a timeless and unique backdrop for many a social gathering too. Service levels are impeccably high and tailor made to meet your individual needs. Refreshments are freshly made on the premises and can reflect the style and bespoke wishes of our guests needs and preferences. Our Afternoon Tea is a true treat and can be served out on our sun terrace or in the bar, elegantly clothed tables and fine bone china just how it should be.
Having originally been designed as a Grammar School and latterly the city’s Central Technical School, the Leopold reflects its past with the many images and photographs that have been kindly donated from its past pupils. Touches of memorabilia keep the hotel alive with tales of school boy antics and life as it used to be.
