Comes under the same umbrella as B&M. Prices vary. Not particularly cheap as previously under the old layout. Preferred the previous style with all the frozen cabinets. It just resembles a corner shop. Hardly visit now

Visiting a Heron Food Store you never know what great bargains will be on offer. If I’m passing I’ll often pop in just to see the specials. The fruit and veg is not always the best but there are great bargains to be had, particularly now they have brought back more frozen food choice. They currently have a really good selection of the X-cell products. I have always found the staff to be very helpful. Edit: December 2025 We decided to try the Heron Christmas Dinner offer of £15 for a stuffed turkey joint or gammon joint with 6 sides from a choice of approx 9 including red cabbage, roast veg, pigs in blankets. The joint fed 3 people for 2 meals plus sandwiches; the sides varied between 2-4 portions. All delicious; will definitely buy again.

Small store but has everything you need during the week. Chilled food and drink, veg, tinned food, plenty of drinks including alcohol, health care products, toiletries, frozen aisle full of food, 88 vape section. Good deals and well priced. Parking available in the Saturday market area.
