Heron Foods

This is a typical Heron absolutely packed with products at great prices. They often have special offers at really great prices eg today they have the Almond Breeze non-dairy milk at just 39p. It’s a case of when it’s gone, it’s gone, so if you see a special snap it up because it might not be there the next time you visit. The focus of Heron used to be predominantly frozen goods but that has changed over recent years so there is now a much stronger emphasis on food essentials such as soup, jam, bread, eggs and fresh fruit and vegetables. I don’t think that I could do my entire shopping there but I do get a substantial amount. It’s very hard to go into the shop and come out empty handed.😹

I love the bargains in here and the cashiers all lovely.nadine she's so friendly to all who go in and the fb page she does to let the locals know the bargains us a fab idea 💡 💖

Cheap bargain and friendly atmosphere

Fuming about the comment on here about the moaning staff. They are on low wages in a busy shop with a lot of hard work, probably having to put up with customers like him! Expecting velvet rope lined red carpets with cheerleaders welcoming him to the shop and every member of staff being falsely merry fresh from the cast production of Mama Mia in London. The shop and the staff are fine, it is Heron, everyone in East Yorkshire know its game and most people beyond know what to expect. I hope nobody got into trouble.

Heron is a great place to shop and you always find something new to try out. Prices are good too, with plenty of choice. My Mum liked Heron too & I always ended up buying lots more than I went in for. Good food at good prices.
