Cottingley Post Office

I don't think the person who served me was trained post office staff! Tried to send what was very obviously a large letter full of very important documents, with a signature service sticker already put on. When I put item on scale he said it's a small parcel. I held up the A4 envelope and said no, its a large letter, and he shook his head, said no, small parcel. I made him put it through the letter guide, which of course went through. He then went on to say first or second, I said 1st signed for, he actually said no you can't do that, I pointed at the sticker I'd put on and said, no, that is the service I want, he then actually answered a personal phone call on his mobile!!!! When he finished his call I said give me my envelope back, and then I left. Absolutely shocking service which, because of his actions, I had to send the item a day later at another post office I had to drive to. The day I went to Cottingley post office was the day I was snowed off work, so walked to this post office. It is also the last time I'll ever set foot through those doors. I drive to Wilsden the next day and received the normal professional service I expect from a post office.

Whats Point in owning a post office if your always "closed" for an hour. Imagine if an elderly person walked round to find it "closed" for an hour. Jokers
