Last weekend, the heart of Bradford pulsed with vibrant energy as the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council's Department of Place welcomed the iconic Peace Artistes to the Darley Street Market Courtyard. This thrilling, free performance featured five dynamic sets between 11 am and 2 pm that had shoppers dancing and smiling, offering a tantalizing taste of what's to come.

What's on the Horizon: HONK! Bradford

Mark your calendar for 26–28 September 2025, when Bradford will come alive with the HONK! Street Band Festival—a three‑day, no‑ticket‑required street‑music extravaganza organized by The Peace Artistes.

Expect 15 street bands from across the UK, Europe, and the US, showcasing sounds that range from bhangra and Balkan beats to jazz, hip hop, and beyond. Over 300 musicians will bring Bradford’s streets, parks, and community venues to life.

A special highlight: the HONK! Band, a new, community-powered ensemble of up to 100 local musicians, led by Ken Field from HONK! Boston, will perform in City Park on Saturday, 27 September. Six rehearsals during September will build up to this exciting headliner.

Capture the Magic

From the unexpected bursts of music at the market to the upcoming festival’s epic scale, HONK! Bradford is primed to deliver a joyous, inclusive celebration of culture, creativity, and community—right across Yorkshire.
