Are you a commercially sharp finance professional who wants their work to actually matter?<br /><br />I am delighted to exclusively bring to market a brand new Commercial Finance Manager opportunity working for a proudly independent Yorkshire FMCG/manufacuring SME! <br /><br />This is a business that has built its reputation on doing things the right way, and they bring that same philosophy to their people..<br /><br />This is a genuinely high-impact role being the “face of finance” in a standalone, newly created and purely commercial role, working alongside the Financial Controller and reporting directly into the CFO.<br /><br />You won't be a number-cruncher in the background, you'll be a trusted commercial FP&A business partner, sitting at the heart of strategic decision-making. <br /><br />Think pricing, margin analysis, financial modelling, budgeting, and presenting insight that shapes the future direction of the business.<br /><br />With further growth plans, new revenue streams, and a focus on improving data and developing new processes/systems, this is a CV defining opportunity for the right person!<br /><br />Reporting directly to the CFO the duties of this role will include:<br /><ul> <li>Engaging closely with commercial, sales and account management teams to support bids, tenders, pricing decisions, contract negotiations and promotional activity.</li><li>Lead the commercial elements of the annual budget and regular forecasting cycles, covering revenue by channel margin, cost to serve and key trading KPIs.</li><li>Build and maintain robust financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic decision making</li><li>Development and ownership of medium-term strategic model.</li><li>Oversee the production and development of commercial dashboards and management information for senior leadership, translating complex data into clear, actionable insight.</li><li>Present monthly commercial performance reports to senior leadership, highlighting trends, risks, opportunities and proposed next steps.</li><li>Ensure strong financial controls surrounding commercial processes</li><li>Finance lead on commercial projects including major contract negotiations, new business proposals, organic, and inorganic growth.</li></ul> <br />The ideal candidate will:<br /><ul> <li>Be fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA - Essential</li><li>Have extensive experience in commercial finance, with a focus on decision support, pricing and profitability analysis - Essential</li><li>Have strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance reporting and advanced skills in Excel and financial/BI systems - Essential</li><li>Have experience in a FMCG/Manufacturing - Highly desirable</li><li>Have familiarity with contract-based or recurring revenue models - Desirable</li><li>Have exposure to acquisitions, integrations or transformation projects - Desirable</li></ul> <br />What's on offer?<br /><ul> <li>25 days holiday, plus bank holidays</li><li>Workplace pension</li><li>Profit share bonus scheme</li><li>Private healthcare (family option) and life cover</li><li>Annual Occupational Health assessments</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Company sick pay</li><li>Family-friendly pay policies</li><li>WeCare: 24/7 GP, mental health support, fitness programmes and nutrition guidance</li><li>Cycle to Work scheme</li></ul>
