<p><strong>Finance Manager (SME)</strong></p> <p><strong>Bradford</strong></p> <p><strong>£45,000 – £50,000 + NHS Pension + Hybrid Working + Flexitime</strong></p> <p><br /></p> <p>Some Finance Manager roles are built around reporting history.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>This one is about helping the owners understand what happens next.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>This is a £10m turnover business with a small finance team already in place, but the owners are now looking for someone who can bring more structure, clarity and commercial insight to the numbers.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>They want better visibility around margins, profitability, cash flow and performance. They want reporting that tells them something useful, not just a set of figures at the end of the month. They also want someone who can take ownership of finance day-to-day, lead the team, and become a trusted point of contact for the business.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>This is an opportunity for someone who wants more influence and autonomy than they currently have.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>You will be given the space to look at how things are done, improve processes where needed, tighten reporting, and help the owners make better-informed decisions. There is a finance team of four in place, so this is not a standalone role, but it will need someone who is comfortable taking responsibility and setting the tone.</p> <p><br /></p> <p><strong>The role will include:</strong></p> <p><br /></p> <ul> <li>Managing and supporting a small finance team</li><li>Taking responsibility for the day-to-day finance function</li><li>Producing useful management information for the owners</li><li>Improving reporting around profitability, margins and cash flow</li><li>Monitoring budgets, performance and variances</li><li>Reviewing processes and controls</li><li>Managing relationships with external accountants, banks, HMRC and other finance contacts</li><li>Supporting forecasting, planning and longer-term decision-making</li><li>Making financial information easier for non-finance people to understand</li></ul> <p><br /></p> <p>This would suit an experienced Finance Manager, hands-on Financial Controller, or strong Management Accountant who is ready for a broader role.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>You do not need to come from a large corporate environment. In fact, this will probably suit someone who enjoys working in an owner-managed or SME setting, where finance is close to the decision-making and your input can make a real difference.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>The important things are strong financial control, good reporting ability, confidence with cash flow and budgets, and the communication skills to explain what the numbers actually mean.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>You will be joining a successful and well-established £10m turnover organisation with a practical, flexible approach to work.
